FRIED APPLE or PEACH PIES

Everybody loves those fried apple or peach pies, they are hyper easy to make.


I prepare them almost every weekend.


INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups dried apples or dried peaches.
  • 1 cup of warm water.
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar.
  • 1 tablespoon butter.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder.
  • 1 can jumbo refrigerated flaky biscuits.
  • vegetable oil for frying.

INSTRUCTIONS:

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • STEP 1- In a saucepan, combine dried apples and water. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2- Remove from heat and let cool, add sugar and butter, mix well, and set aside.
  • STEP 3- Roll each biscuit into a circle, and place 1 tablespoon of apple mixture on half.
  • STEP 4- To seal pies, moist edges of circles. Fold in half, making sure edges are even. Using a fork dipped in flour, press edges together to seal.
  • STEP 5- In a heavy skillet, heat oil and fry the pies over medium heat until golden.
  • STEP 6- Drain well on paper towels, and sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the pies.
